pucci was kind of a mixed bag. some of the collection seemed to have a very spanish gypsy influence, some looked almost like lingerie, and randomly placed in between were sparkling party dresses. i’m having a hard time following—what exactly was peter dundas going for?
dissociative identity disorder aside, the collection has a lot to offer: beautifully intricate beading, embroidery and lace mixed in with splashy, colorful prints. a few show-stopping gowns with crazy attention to detail.
where things fall apart is in the looks that are over-the-top-in-your-face sex (let’s leave a little to the imagination, shall we?), the bra/suit looks that scream madonna in “express yourself,” and some accessorizing that was a little too hot topic.
